Bio

My art, in short, I see as deep and dark on the surface, but bright and uplifting at its very core.  Over the years my work has gone through many stages and levels of evolution; from shifts in content to shifts in choice of media. It always comes from my heart with topics and viewpoints that are all important to me. This ranges from spirituality, love, war and peace, and even the prophetic.

Most of the work I do involves a series of characters that I’ve been developing for almost a decade now. They all directly or loosely relate to my graphic novel series, Revelations. That family of characters is so diverse that one or two of them always makes sense for an art show that I’m doing at a particular time. It’s crazy to see them grow and evolve, and it’s almost like seeing children grow up and go away to college and get married (when they sell!).

A lot of the work that I have been doing for the past few years has been for commercial use and thus has been done digitally, but I never want to be completely disconnected from using my hands and getting a little analog dirty. I push myself to do as many shows as I can fit in, and I really enjoy mixed media. I like to keep the viewer guessing and on their toes as I experiment with new techniques and approaches.
